not looking for any employee, we’re looking for the right employee.
We’re looking for the person who knows that this job can be challenging, too. The person we’re looking for understands
the value of effort, and its relationship to rewards.
Beyond a realistic attitude about what the job requires, we’re looking for people with solid character: honesty, a
team-oriented attitude, capacity for initiative and above all a good work ethic. We can train you to operate our equipment
and perform pressure pumping tasks. We can equip you with all the needed tools and safety gear. But those key elements of
character are impossible to teach. You either have them, or you don’t. They’re what we’re looking for.
We need people who have these internal strengths, and who want to align themselves with our internal culture and
values.
In return, we’ll treat you as an individual. Canyon employees are never treated as numbers – literally. Other
companies’ HR departments assign employee numbers. We list you by your name – and that’s it. There is
no number, even in payroll. We always call you by your name. That may seem symbolic, but it tells you about our attitude
– and it speaks to a lot of our people. We’re a bigger company now, but we’re determined to maintain that
locally-based, family-company feel.
