Grand Canyon Process

Canyon's patented Grand Canyon process places a non-damaging fracture stimulation within reach of operators looking to exploit many shallow coal, sand, and shale formations which typically respond poorly to fluid fracturing attempts. The Grand Canyon unit is a high pressure vessel which accurately meters LWPTM into a 100% nitrogen stream, producing a fracture with zero gel damage, no fluid retention, and no cleanup issues.

The Grand Canyon process has proven successful in numerous treatments to date, and has shown unmatched success in the stimulation of water sensitive cretaceous shales and silts. Large diameter CTU (2-7/8" or 3-1/4") is used to isolate perforations so that multiple productive intervals can be fractured sequentially in a single day. Costs are significantly reduced, and production is maximized due to rapid fracture cleanup and zero fluid retention.

Canyon's unconventional approach to resource exploitation is redefining "bypassed pay" by redefining what constitutes a producible formation. Quantify the up-hole value your company may be missing out on by applying the Grand Canyon process to your shallow horizons, and get un-conventional!
