Foam Fracturing

Anybody who has watched the resource play developments of the past two decades can tell you the same thing: Fracture treatments are becoming more and more the "normal requirement" for completing wells.  And although fracturing is anything but new, lower permeability, lower reservoir pressures, and lower reservoir quality all force operators to take precautions against induced formation damage, and potential water blocks due to capillary pressures.  One of the most successful fracturing methods to address these issues is Foam Fracturing, however foamed fluids have not always been properly understood or applied in order to realize their full potential.  As a result, operators have sometimes found that they were victims of early screenouts or poor well performance following an attempted foam fracturing treatment.

Canyon has taken steps to redefine foam fracturing - starting with the foam structure itself.    To improve on today's available technology, Canyon has developed proprietary foam generation equipment to optimize the produced bubble size in the resulting foam.  The result is a more stable and higher viscosity fracturing fluid with greatly enhanced proppant transport characteristics and reduced fluid loss.  Unique new base fluids and surfactant blends have been developed in order to maintain a clean proppant pack, and maximize the fluid recovered after the fracture treatment is completed.  The result is a whole New Era in Advanced Technology (NEATG);Canyon's FOAM+ Fracturing Service. Canyon's FOAM+ fracturing service offers the ultimate in foam fracturing technology, and provides the next step change in the completion of ever-lower reservoir quality wells.
