NGC Fracturing

NGC Fracturing focuses on Coal formations. In the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin, productive coals are typically classified as "Dry / Under-saturated" (Horseshoe Canyon) or "Wet / Saturated" (Mannville, Gething, Ardley). Each type requires a much different stimulation to get effective results.

Canyon has a fleet of high rate nitrogen pumping equipment built specifically for dry/under-saturated coal stimulation. We have also developed patent-pending equipment and treatment techniques to further enhance the conductivity of these stimulations.

Canyon Technical Services also offers foamed, as well as straight liquid hydraulic fracturing treatments focused on the wet/saturated formations. By combining multiple functions on a single unit, we have managed to reduce the physical footprint required on location. The chemistry of our proprietary fluid systems was developed with the characteristics of unconventional reservoirs first & foremost in mind, offering a step-change in technology from conventional systems.
