Why Canyon

It's About the Team

Canyon has the highest per capita number of person-years of experience in the Canadian pressure-pumping sector. The average level of experience for our supervisors, managers and senior leadership is 15-20 years, and we also have dozens of highly experienced field operators. The benefits of joining a team with deep experience are clear: more expertise, greater reliability and increased safety.

We ask a lot of our team – and we give a lot. We offer excellent compensation and benefits, great training and mentoring, exciting and challenging work scenarios, and the chance to advance your career on a team that values you as an individual.

Equipment

Canyon has some of the most modern, purpose-built equipment in the Canadian well stimulation sector. Period. From day one, our approach has always been to design and order exclusively heavy-duty equipment that incorporates rugged components and the latest design ideas because we know they deliver the highest performance and greatest reliability.

Calgary Technology Centre

The laboratory work and well stimulation chemistry that is coming out of the Canyon Technology Centre is second to none. Our Technology Centre and operations teams work together closely to ensure that new ideas become robust, practical, user-friendly, fit-for-purpose solutions for our customers. Canyon’s technology team is a multi-disciplinary group of scientists, technologists, chemists and geologists. We are experienced, knowledgeable, dedicated and innovative.

Western Canadian Lifestyle

For individuals and families, Western Canada offers virtually limitless opportunities to pursue hobbies and recreation, and dozens of great communities in which to make a home or raise a family. We want you to experience everything Western Canada has to offer. Not just the great job opportunities, but a great lifestyle as well. Making the most of your time in Western Canada can include exploring the natural landscape, taking advantage of your proximity to mountains, discovering western heritage, or exploring the evolving arts scene through local arts festivals, and musicians. Really, the only limit to your experience is your own imagination and time.

Giving back

Our approach to supporting the communities in which we operate reflects our family-oriented culture. We encourage our employees to engage with activities, causes, hobbies and organizations that they themselves value. As a company we are open to directing additional resources (time, equipment or money) to organizations and initiatives that our employees care about.
